Co-creation workshops in Cyprus

July 2026

On 3rd of July 2026, Frederick University from Cyprus hosted the first co‑creation workshop dedicated to developing the modular training programmes of the ACT‑AI Academy, marking a key milestone in shaping a human‑centred, responsible AI future for education.

Did you know that during the ACT‑AI co‑creation workshop, educators revealed that AI readiness varies dramatically across schools, with some teachers already experimenting confidently while others feel uncertain, overwhelmed, or even hesitant to begin?

They also highlighted that AI can meaningfully support inclusion, help adapt materials for diverse learners, and strengthen writing and language development but only when teachers receive structured, hands‑on training and clear quality‑assurance guidelines.

And perhaps most importantly: Teachers want national clarity. Participants consistently asked for a unified AI framework, shared criteria for evaluating AI‑generated materials, and school‑level support teams to guide responsible adoption.
