March 2026

The ACT-AI Academy project consortium held the 2nd TPM on 3–4 March 2026 at the University of Malta, bringing together partners onsite and online to review progress, assess deliverables, and coordinate upcoming activities.

Discussions under WP1 focused on project management and reporting, including data protection updates and financial reporting, as well as planning future meetings. In WP2, partners advanced the development of the ACT-AI conceptual framework, working towards practical implementation and agreeing on next steps, including an executive summary. WP3 discussions centred on the planning of upcoming co-creation workshops with teachers, aligning methodology and timelines.

Updates on WP4 addressed the project’s digital platform, including user access and upcoming testing phases. Under WP7, partners reviewed dissemination activities, coordinated contributions to the first newsletter, and discussed strategies to strengthen the project’s visibility and policy impact.

The meeting also included external presentations by Dr. Patrick Camilleri on “AI and the Future of Education in Malta,” Prof. Diane Vassallo on the EmpowerAID Project, and Prof. Antonios Liapis on an AI-powered project, offering valuable insights into current developments in the field.

Overall, the meeting strengthened collaboration among partners and ensured alignment for the next phases of the ACT-AI Academy project.
